Jay's K9 Universe's Company Policies
BOARD AND TRAIN PROGRAMS
All Board & Train Programs with the exception of our 2 Week Board & Train Program, require a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve program dates. Remaining balance for program is due on scheduled drop off date. Once invoice is received, dates are valid for seven days. Failure to receive deposit, agreed upon dates will be forfeited. Our 2 Week Board & Train requires full payment at time of reservation. No Refunds after 24 hours of reservation. However, payments can be applied to other applicable services.
ONE – ON – ONE & DAY TRAINING PROGRAMS
All One – On – One and Day Training Programs require full payment at time of reservation. One – On – One Sessions can be scheduled online at clients discretion. Rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours prior to appointment or owner must apply for a new appointment and will forfeit that session. Clients must be on time for scheduled session. Clients who will arrive more than 15 minutes after their scheduled time, will be rescheduled and assess a late fee of $60. No Refunds after 24 hours of reservation. However, payments can be applied to other applicable services.
DAYCARE PROGRAMS & PACKAGES
All Daycare Programs are for clients who have gone through one of our training programs and have been approved for daycare or boarding. All daycare days can be booked online. Rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours prior to scheduled day or owner forfeits that daycare day. Drop-off times are between 7:00am-12:00pm. Pick-up times are no later than 6:30pm. Owners who arrive later than 6:30pm will be charged a $45 late fee. No Refunds after 24 hours of reservation. However, payments can be applied to other applicable services.
BOARDING PROGRAMS & PACKAGES
All Boarding Programs are for clients who have gone through one of our training programs and have been approved for daycare or boarding. All boarding days can be booked online. Rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours prior to scheduled day or owner forfeits that boarding day. Pick-up times are no later than 10:30am. Owners who arrive later than 10:30am will be charged a $45 late fee. No Refunds after 24 hours of reservation. However, payments can be applied to other applicable services.
PRIVATE INDOOR DOG PARK
All Indoor Park Sessions and Packages are open to the public. All sessions can be booked online. No refunds after 24 hours of reservation. Rescheduling must be made 48 hours prior to scheduled session or owner forfeits their session. No Refunds after 24 hours of reservation. However, payments can be applied to other applicable services.
SAFETY
Jay’s K9 Universe will endeavor to create as safe an environment as possible for the training and boarding care of the dog(s), and will offer only sound, safe, and responsible training, care, and post-boarding training instructions. Owner agrees, however, that all animals may exhibit unpredictable behaviors and that Jay’s K9 Universe will not be liable for the actions of the Dog that are outside of the control of Jay’s K9 Universe. Owner agrees that the recommendation by Jay’s K9 Universe of any product or service is not a guarantee of performance or Owner’s satisfaction with that product or service.
INJURIES
Jay’s K9 Universe agrees to indemnify and hold Owner harmless from and against any claims of injury, expense, costs, loss or damages caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of Jay’s K9 Universe while the dog is in the sole custody, care and control of Jay’s K9 Universe. Owner acknowledges that Jay’s K9 Universe has no control over the dog when the dog is not in the exclusive custody, care and control of Jay’s K9 Universe, and Owner agrees to indemnify and hold Jay’s K9 Universe harmless from and against any and all claims of injury, expense, costs, loss or damages caused by the actions of the Dog when the Dog is not the sole custody, care and control of Jay’s K9 Universe.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
Your dog will be staying at a working kennel and not living in a padded room. Your dog spends a good amount of time in the outside world doing lots of things around lots of natural objects, dirt, grass, cement, trees, fencing, bushes, swimming, interacting with lots of other dogs, and humans. It is likely that your dog is going to get scratched, bumped, or bruised. Your dog will most likely get some wear and tear on him/her. Things are bound to happen even though we have taken special care in designing our facility and maintaining a high standard of safety and cleanliness.
As Owner, you acknowledge and understand that there are certain risks involved in pet training, boarding, and care. You release, indemnify, and agree to hold Jay’s K9 Universe harmless from any and all manner of damages, claims, loss, liabilities, costs or expenses, causes of actions or suits, whatsoever in law or equity, (including, without limitation, attorney’s fees and related costs) arising out of or related to the services provided by Jay’s K9 Universe.
HEALTH
All dogs in our care are required to be up-to-date on the following vaccines and preventatives: Rabies, Distemper, Bordatella, (optional) Canine Influenza, Heartworm, and Flea & Tick. Preventatives and any medications will be administered when necessary. I understand that by allowing my dog to be trained, socialized and worked at Jay’s K9 Universe around and with other dogs that my dog may contract Kennel Cough (URI) which is a highly contagious upper respiratory disease. I understand that even though my dog is vaccinated it is still possible for my dog to be infected. I agree to educate myself on exactly what kennel cough is so that I am fully aware of the risks involved in allowing my dog to be socialized with/in the vicinity of other dogs. I agree that I am fully responsible for any medical bills resulting from my dog contracting kennel cough or any other illness.
I hereby assign and grant to Jay’s K9 Universe the right and permission to use, reproduce, distribute, and publish the photograph(s), film(s), videotape(s), audio and video recording(s), electronic representation(s) and/or sound recording(s) made of me and/or my dog(s) at any time during the training and/or boarding of my dog(s) by Jay’s K9 Universe, and I hereby release Jay’s K9 Universe from any and all liability resulting from such use, reproduction, distribution, and publication.
I hereby authorize the reproduction, sale, distribution, copyright, exhibit, broadcast, and/or electronic storage of any and all such photograph(s), film(s), videotape(s), audio and video recording(s), electronic representation(s) and/or sound recording(s) without limitation at the discretion of Jay’s K9 Universe and I specifically waive any right to any compensation I may have for any of the foregoing.
Owner fully understands the tools and techniques that are used to train and modify the behavior of their dog and agrees to the tools and techniques which include Prong Collar, Bark Collar, Remote Training Collar, Slip Lead, Pet Convincer, Muzzles, Flat Buckle collar, Martingale collar.
We cannot give any promises, timelines, or guarantees for training results. Successful dog training includes learning our vocabulary and techniques, attending professional dog training on an uninterrupted set schedule, 15 minutes of consistent daily practice during and after training, multiple owners being on the same page, frequent socialization, ongoing guidance, follow-up training when needed, the health and age of your dog, and more.
